Psalm 100:4-5 KJVS
[4] Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. [5] For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
As I sit here in the early morning hours of this Thanksgiving Day, I am aware of God’s blessings on my life. I have been protected from physical and spiritual harm too many times to name them all. God has provided for my needs, sometimes in miraculous fashion, and even granted me many of my desires. His promises to me and my family become reality regularly. His presence often fills my heart with contentment and my eyes with tears of joy.
I have been blessed with a loving wife who completes my life more than she will ever know, and our children and grandson are our “pride and joy.” The rest of our families on both sides are constant reminders that God puts people into our lives for specific reasons so we can be blessed as He uses them in our lives.
We are privileged to pastor a wonderful congregation of people at Westville Assembly of God. They have a desire to reach out to the people in their communities in order to share the love of God with them. They are willing to follow the leading of God to make an impact here, especially among the children and young people who live in our area. We are working together to achieve what God is calling us to do, and that is a huge blessing to everyone involved.
It is my prayer that, as you reflect on your blessings today, you will be able to say along with me…
